i think that is a old boker sheild but i can not read blade very well it sort of looks like it says imperail but can't tell for sure it has me confused please help...

A lot of the older companies used that blank badge shield.  If it looks like Imperial, it may very well be.  You could use some extrememly fine brass wool and clean the area if you got very curious.  Looks like a well loved pocketknife

after more cleaning and scrubing with wenol cleaner from germany good stuff by the way.it is a imperial from the late 1920s i looked it up akca what had me stomped is that a few years in the 20's they spelled imperail without the i in front of the m....
