Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hello everyone. I am a new member here on IKC, but I'm not new to knives. I am more of a user than a collector. I will buy a knife if I think it will fill a purpose for me. Those purposes fall into 2 categories, work related or outdoor related. I work with monofilaments in a textile mill. The size of the mono's vary from .11mm to .70mm. It takes a good steel to maintain its edge when cutting them. So, I am prejudice against and in favor of several steels. I am a hunter and fisherman. I have hunted deer, squirrel, turkey and coons most all my 41 years. Last year I got into squirrel and coon hunting with dogs. I now have 2 Mullins Fiest. I mostly fish for catfish in the Pearl River here in Mississippi. I hope to get to know many of you and make some friends.

Welcome Stephen! From your introduction with your occupation and outside interests, belive it or not, you ARE a collector!  LOL Knives for work, hunting, and fishing. You probably have more than one for work. You most likely have both a fillet knife and bait cutting knife. That's about 4 or so. Then you need a Trapper for skinning your coons. A nice fixed blade for deer hunting. And a good bird knife for turkey!!.That should be at least 7. YEP, you're a collector! Kinda snuck up on you didn't it? Don't feel bad. You're in good company here. Heck, before long, we'll turn you into a certified, dyed in the wool, incuable KNIFEAHOLIC!!

Cruise through the site and visit home pages to see who's who. ALWAYS CHECK THE MAIN PAGE and there's a page for new members to get to know the basics. Stop by my home page for sure. You'll find everyone very friendly and willing to share and help. Welcome to iKC!!
