I just stumbled on news of this book, & I'm sure some here have already heard about it.  For those who haven't, or for those who want to know more about it, here's a link to the article:

I only started collecting seriously a few years after Schrade was sold to Taylor, but of course I've known about the demise of this U.S. company for some time.  My favorite quote from this article:

"When we consider that the company was bought for pennies on the dollar in 2004 and resold in 2016 for $80 million, it’s not Taylor’s fault that Schrade went out of business. He has stated very publicly his reluctance to manufacture knives in China—but we shrug and accept that this is the way the free market works."

Sounds like an interesting perspective of the knife industry that we don't often see, which is why I would really like to own a copy of this book.  I figured there might be others who are interested as well.
