Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I went hunting this afternoon. I saw these five deer and one other.

The three closest ones are 25 yards from me.  I was tempted to shoot the spike buck but didn't.  If you look close you can see the two others on the other side of the fence.

This is me getting the memory stick out of the camera.

Also the camera got pictures of this black coyote.

It always gets the blood flowing when ya see deer! Never seen a black coyote myself.

Charles,

Those appear to be about the same size as the ones we have been seeing daily this fall.  2 of us have set up no hunting zones and placed mineral blocks and corn out.  Mostly this was to protect the homes and occupants more than the deer.  As I am sure you are aware there are folks that will just ignore a no hunting sign but no one wants to get caught hunting on seeded land.

Last week, with an unknown person hunting behind the house was an eye opener for those that don't see safety first.  From the angle they were at, the only trajectory would have been to shoot down, towards the house or towards the neighbors below us.  Going forward they will have to hunt below us in the valley.  With that being said, one of the safety conscious hunters that is up here quite a bit in the fall brought up his 15 year old son last week and he got his first buck down in that valley.  As dad said, a small 5 point but healthy weight.  Guess keeping out acorns and corn aint a bad thing for the population either
