I can't show you my Glocks Data.  I don't have any!

My 19 next to my wife's 43 that I occasionally carry Ms Data ... 100% natural, all black. I really prefer my 19, 15 +1 + 15x2 feels much better to me than 6+1 and a spare 6 in a pocket

I just noticed, you have one USA model and two Austrian. Both of mine (I count the 43 as mine since I probably use it more than my wife) are Austrian. It's strange in a way, she has smaller hands than me, and when I wanted to take her to a store to hold different makes and models she just said no, I really like your Glock, get me a smaller model - so I did.

She shoots my 19 better than her 43. And she is probably better with my little Ruger SR22 than I am - but she struggles with her 43. At first she told me there is something wrong with the sights. I told her I can see you're aiming low. She was adamant she was not aiming low, and I know she knows how to use sights because she's good with the 19 and the SR22. So I took the 43 and hit the paper every time, mostly right where I want to, but she still struggles. Maybe it's the grip size, she did comment on it feeling so thin - well, that's a single stack compact for you!

allanm, I use the G19 as my home defense gun because it has been too hard to find a holster for it with the Crimson Trace green laser. I carry the G26 in a Stealth Gear holster. I love it for EDC. I actually have never fired the G42, it belongs to someone else in my family. When I hold it, it just feels too small for my hand. I have considered carrying a G43 but again, the small grip and the lower capacity kind of turn me off. I am used to the little brick that is my G26 and I don't know if I want to change it for something with a much lower capacity. Thank you for your comments.

I know what you mean Ms Data. I don't use a laser at all so that's no issue to me. I carry my 19 in a Blackhawk Serpa retention holster, with my two spare mags in a Blackhawk mag carrier. Some people like in waist band holsters, some like pocket pistols/holsters and there are arguments and disagreements whatever way anyone carries. There's definitely a place for in waist band, but for me most of the time when I carry, IWB is just not accessible / quick enough.

I'm not full time law enforcement but I do have a different state credential, and have to re-certify every year, and for that, an external holster is a requirement, IWB would not be acceptable. Actually, I'm fairly certain we would not be allowed to qualify with a laser either.

I do agree with you on the 43 being very small, and I don't have big hands, but bigger than my wife. Given the 42 and 43 are very similar in size you would find the 43 to be a bit small as well - but I can still shoot straight with it though I do prefer more skin/grip contact. It makes quite a difference to control.

Ms Data - as mentioned last night in live chat - here's my Glock ready for action ... along with 2 hunting knives (as I said, you can never have too many knives!) - my old favorite Buck Omni 10 point, and a newer Gerber Freeman Guide gut hook - and 2 spare mags on the other side!

Below this is the rifle I used this last week of season to bring home a doe - an AR-15 I built in 7.62x39, with soft points causing devastation and as intended a very quick, as humane as possible heart shot.

A couple of nice outfits Allan!

I have a 7.62x39 but it is an SKS.

I've thought about adding a bolt action 7.62x39 to my arsenal Charles - looking at something like a CZ 527, or maybe Ruger Mini or Howe if reasonable prices. Just because I would like a bolt action as well, but I still like shooting 7.62x39. Not quite as much punch as an FN FAL 7.62x51 NATO that I carried in the army in Africa, but still plenty enough power. The doe I brought home had obviously a 7.62 entry, and 60 - 80mm exit with impressive blood trail. Maybe 55 yards max, and I'm sure she was almost entirely bled out by the time she fell based on the trail. Plain, simple Wolf steel case, soft point.
