These are the fish I caught this A.M. A great little mess of Sac au Lait to fry for my grand girls on friday or fry day..lol  I took a few pictures of how to butterfly the top of the fish, so that it frys better. If you remove the darsol fin on the fishes back it cooks alot better. It's sotta like butterflying shirmp, the hot grease can get in there and cook it alot better. I hope some of ya'll are able to get out and wet a line, good luck, my friend.

These are a few pictures of our fishing trip to Old River, today. I was lucky enough to catch this mess of pan fish along with a 12# Northern Carp on ultra light tackle. I fought the big brusier for 25 minutes, every time I'd real him in to the boat, he'd take out the drag about 25 feet, this continued over and over, till finally he wore out a bit and I was able to net him. When I returned to the boat landing after the trip, they weighed him and he hit the scale at a whopping 12#'s. My party caught a good many Blue Gills and we all had a great day on the water fishing.

I'm going on a guide trip tomorrow to "Old River" a ox bow lake here in Louisiana. I haven't been there since last year but when the Mississippi gets to a certain level, I know where to go fishing over there. My fisherman are a nice lady and her boy friend. She's one of the richest people in Louisiana and loves to fish, we are old friends. Ya'll wish me luck, I'm working on the girls college fund...lol

Johnny,

It's kinda nice that the phones died when ya'll got out there.  No modern distractions LOL.  I cant wait to hear the story and I am sure your words will paint the picture for us just fine

Back from camp and the soul hasn't felt this good in a long time. The outdoors has a way of feeding mine, (soul) better then anything else. The friends that were there to share in the memory made for an even better time.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get pics. All the phones died as soon as we got to camp, they searched for signals and found non. I left the camera at home, mostly because I planned on being very active near water on this trip.

I'll post the story as soon as I get it written.
