There is a canyon about 30 miles from home that fasinates me.  It is a stretch of river between Pathfinder and Alcova reservoirs, and the canyon wall reach 600 to 700 feet above the water below.  After staying away for 8 years, I have started walking the canyon rim again whenever I get a chance.  And every time I go, I take about 100 pictures.  There are a few favorite places I like to stop at, and every now and then I find something new.  Next year I want to start exploring the other end more, and I know just the spot to start.  But for now, I would like to share some photos.

Jeremi,

That saw blade steel makes for some tough blades, they tend to hold an edge pretty well.  Seems you got to see lots of critters in AZ

Thans guys.L-6 saw blade steel is what i have right now.It's tuff in the hardened state.Just stock removal method as thats what is available 4now till i one day lerarn to forge.Here is a 5ft. snake i saw while hiking in AZ.

I made the knife previously,but just put the new wood handle on it recently.I put a coat of polyurethane on it after the pics were taken.The wood is called tiger wood used in hardwood flooring n has a striped pattern when coated.

Tastes just like that one thing... oh yeah, scorpion!It wasnt bad but it wasn't great either.
