Earlier this year, Vulture Equipment Works debuted their new Cholera fixed-blade knife at SHOT Show, where it was declared “People's Choice Knife Shot Show 2014”.

The steel is heat-treated 1095 high-carbon alloy steel with a Scandi grind profile, which I believe to be the best profile for butchering and wood carving. The blade is made more durable with a clear Cerakote finish. You can also drill and pierce with this knife, thanks to the false edge at the tip of the knife’s spine.

So, i recently got into knives, and knife making, my mother being a Finn, had told me about Puukko knives, a traditional Finnish knife, and i fell in love with them. seeing some of the knives on here i figure a lot of you guys are pretty dang good, and wondered if you could shoot a few pointers on making the handles. i dont make the blades, because i have no furnace or a place to forge, although i would love to do that in the future for sure. but as for now, i just buy blades and handle…

I looked into my copy of Blades Guide to Knives & Their Values and came up with the following information: E.K.A. see Eskilstuna Knivfabriks Aktiebolag. So I turned a page and found that the company made knives in the town of Eskilstuna Sweden from 1920-1970, With a tang stamp of an E on a crown anchor. With the EKA stamp from 1917-1925 From 1946 till the present they are supposed to be making knives. Anyone own one, and what do you think of the EKA knives?? I will post a picture in a short while.
Moose and rein deer antler knifetag:iknifecollector.com,2011-12-12:3181080:Topic:5154522011-12-12T17:00:37.059ZClay Stronghttps://iknifecollector.com/profile/ClayStrong
