A new iKC calendar and a new year of knives!
Can't believe we are entering a another decade. I hope everyone has a great new year. As I open up a new iKC calendar, thought it would be a great idea to choose a knife a month to showcase. Here's my knife of the month for January (I wonder what yours might be?!). This is the last knife I purchased in 2019. It's a utility / hunter by TK Steingass - spalted hackberry handle with a 4.5" 1095 blade with hamon.

oh my... that is not good news. I am truly sorry to hear about your energy limitation. I am also almost certain very very few have the breadth and quality of your collection as well as the photographic chops to pull it off. Doing several posts ahead of time. sounds like a very smart things to do. So kudos to that end. :)

Fourth quarter of the year and here's a neat folder by Romanian knife maker Csizmár Szilárd. It's a strange looking knife he calls a “Tinker’s knife”. Its construction is all steel with a motorcycle chain, san mai Damascus blade. I posted a pic and description of this one back in 2019 after I got it. Csizmár usually creates a whimsical story about his knives which always make me smile. The one for this one is contained in that album post.
