Tracy

You'll find some useful details in this link.

.

... I believe ...

You've an original "Ideal" model of the larger version

..&..

with the preferred stag handle.

.

This is the pic I was looking for when I referred to the butt or pommel of the knife. Specifically .. what is the size of the nut ..if.. there is one ???
(above pic ..obviously.. unabashedly "borrowed" from ebay)

I've seen reference to 2 different sizes being used .. 3/8" & 1/2".

i.e. "The tang nut changed around 1923 from a 1/2 inch to a 3/8ths, ..." (link .. near the btm).

.

You are correct .. Re: the stamping on the pommel i.e. it is an "after market" stamp.

.

I've no idea as to your knowledge base Re: Marble's ..SO0o.. please take my comments as offered .. an honest attempt to help & inform.

.

The original Marble's product by Webster L. Marble is highly respected for its inherent high quality & sheer usefulness of design.

NOTE: a good link HERE .. 17+ pgs worth of Marble's discussion.

.

Enjoy
