And I am a big Schrade fan, the old stuff, the new stuff, not so much. I bought this one just to have one. LOL

The knife itself isn't bad, that tool kit is kind of useless...
As a Survival knife, it's pretty good, strength, cutting edge and durability are there, to a point.
I have a M-9 Ontario made Bayonet and that was given to me by a friend who was an Army Ranger that did two tours in Iraq and 2 tours in Afghanistan and he said guys were snapping those left and right, using them as prying bars on doors and M-9 blade is thicker and more durable. He also stated that he knew a few guys that had the Shrade Survival and thought they were junk, as they didn't stand up to just day to day chores.
In addition there were a few guys that didn't break their M-9's because they didn't use them as pry bars and they stood up to day to day chores no problems...
I wouldn't recommend the Schrade Survival 9 for a rough outing real durvival knife, but as a camp knife, around the camper, you could annoy the bears with it and look intimidating to the neighbors... LOL

What do you think of that knife Steven?  I had been thinking about getting one but it would be good to know your opinion.
