(could not resist) Recurve, from Derrick Tappin of TripleX (1 of a kind) in L6 steel. 10.5" OAL. This Carbon Steel, often used for saw blades, has Nickel, that makes the steel very tough, and particularly good in very cold areas. She was too pretty to pass. The edge stability allows for FFG. I am starting to collect a few pieces from this Gentleman: thwy will age "gracefully", being true "Classics). (Just found a few rather unique pieces of his on Rewild Outfitters, too!)

I knowthatBush-Ri of yours. It is quite lovely & I tried to persuade Darrin to makeme one: rest assured, yours remains "unique". What I like about DerrickTappin's work is that he keeps evolving and oerfecting his Craft. That is why Istarted collecting some of his pieces, while also keeping a few for practical use. I really like what he does withsteels like M2 and A2 (that are a bit rust resistant too). I am loking forward to receiving this "Recurve" of his. As you sayhis grips are very ergonomic, and quite graceful.

That's a beautiful piece, especially with that tiger maple. I'll have to post a photo of my Triple X Bush-Ri, if I can find a way to do it justice... But yours is a much nicer looking piece than mine, without question. I would guess, however, that like the Bush-Ri, this knife has an incredibly comfortable handle.
