A shortish blog on sharpening straight razors. It will be short because I know little enough , though I have learned enough to be able to get the job done . Maybe I can return to this in future when I have more information but for the present it will be brief .

I like a great looking knife , I really do .
Just as with most people a fancy set of handle scales or a little damascus really get's my attention . I have one or two knives that are very attractive and I wouldn't part with them for any reason , but I pick up and carry the same few knives all the time . Well I am starting this blog to record my return to an older type of shaving .
