It is so good to have friends who got your back!

Wow! That's about how I sum it up. What am I talking about? Well, the last two weeks.

Actually it is a blur now as I try to recount what's gone on. The thing that stands out in my mind are the storms. The horrible storms we've had pass through our parts down here in Alabama. I can't say life is returning to normal because so many people have lost their life, or had it totally tragically displaced. If you haven't seen this monster storm-check this…

Sunday Drives and the iKC Community

One of the aspects I love about our community is the wide range of knife interests represented by our members. When you have time take a stroll through the member list and read each member's profile and their interests. It is easy to see collector niche's range from advertising knives to old bowies, tactical to high-end customs and I…

The Community at iKnifeCollector Factoids

There is nothing like iKC anywhere on the web.

When I first was introduced to this community format/technology back early last year there was no doubt in my mind it would make provide for (cause "WE" are the community)- the next generation knife collector community. Need your help to support one of our members!

If you have ever been a slave of something, then you will feel for what one of our members is going through right now. I'm asking you to contact him to encourage him in his quit smoking effort. We are a community here. At the risk of sounding over mushy, our support for one another through life, is a direct byproduct our what we have going on here.

To those who don't or haven't ever smoked, quitting smoking probably sounds like a no-brainer and no prob, but if you have quit or tried… Continue

KNIFE IS GOOD!

We have a really good conversation going. Lynsie Johnson, one of our members, added a thought provoking topic for discussion- "Do you feel that a knife is like a tattoo?" While the topic might be viewed a little "different" for a "knife… Continue

Update on the development of our Community

As with any new community, we have folks moving in and getting settled, while others are finishing the build-out. Others are painting walls and hanging pictures. Don't know if you have noticed, but everyday, our community changes- that's the way it's supposed to be too.

Our emphasis is on "quality, not quantity" meaning we want an active community, not just folks hanging their shingle and then not getting to know their neighbors. And yet,… Continue
