Thanks for the welcome Frank ... I was wondering how to buy Benchmade/Spyderco knives in the States (currently I'm using Ebay but, often, the shipping fees are very expensive and the prices too) .. Do you know some other way of buying for the european people?
All the best,
Gino

Hi Gino,
Welcome to our social network. I'm fairly new at collecting knives, and am enjoying getting advise, learning, and sharing with these great knife collecting people.
And, don't apologize for not being fluent in English...some of us, who were born in the U.S. aren't very fluent. :+)

Good info. I didn't know about your laws and customs there.

Yes, we have a place here for buying & trading. The members who are looking for a specific knife use this forum area.

Hi Scott the knife collecting in Italy isn't so big as there aren't big firms on the knives production. We can include the city of Maniago there is quite famous for its knives and some craftsman in Sardinia (that is a big isle near Italy). Currently there is a company (Extrema Ratio) that produces military knives but the prices are very high and I can't tell if the knives are worth the price ... In my opinion the best production of knives comes from the States and, in particular, speaking about production knives, I am very impressed by Benchmade and Spyderco. In Italy the prices of these knives are very high but, through Ebay, sometimes I purchased at a reasonable price (arount 100$). Concerning the italian law it's possible to buy knives but, for the double edged ones or automatic knives, we have to get a collection licence (as weel as for the weapons). If you didn't have had problems with the justice you can ask for this then to buy what you wish. There are some troubles if you buy from outside Italy because the italian customs could seize the goods if double edged or automatic ... that's all ... what about the knives exchange in the site? Is it possible to buy or sell among collectors? I would have a lot of answers about the US knives but I don't want to bother you ...
Have a nice day and thanks for your time,
Gino
