Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Has anyone ever wondered which knife brand, that has gone out of business in recent knife history, has risen in value and collectability the most. Knife companies like Camillus, Schrade and others. Have ya'll seen a rise in price and interest in these and if so, then which ones. I know that the vintage Winchesters have really gone up in price. I am curious to hear what ya'lls opinion is on this subject. Thanks.

Those are great, Ken. I enjoy all of those and the price is great. I would have thought, the price would have been higher. Looks like a great deal all the way around.

The Novelty knives I like from SMKW are the ones with Bible verses on them - $3.98 a piece.

Thanks Ken, it is one of my favorites.

I have started a Novelty knife collection, and for the most part, the knives sell relatively low. There is some really neat ones out there too. They come from all over the world England, USA China and France just to name a few. If you are looking for inexpensive knives to collect, with a lot of diversity, try Novelty knives.

Great Remington collection, I especially like the bullet knives. I think the value of your collection has risen in the recent past. You are lucky to have bought them when you did because their cost has to be higher now days. I own one original Bullet knife from the 1930's. I posted a picture of it on my Blog. "Show off your Collection". Check it out. Thanks Ken, for your interest in this discussion.

My Remington Year Knife collection

I bought a Moose pattern knife made by Camillus. It's the "Riders of the Silver Screen" series. At the time they were selling for $29 and $39, depending on the Cowboy movie star that was on the knife. Well those same knives are selling for $79 and $89. That's quite a jump. I was gonna collect a few but with the higher price, I've decided to spend my money on other patterns.

Terry, I started a small collection of Remington Bullet knives but the price has jumped up, just as you say, so I've had to slow down on buying them. I think for a while we were enjoying a buyers market but now prices are going up and fast. The recession may have been the problem but with people going back to work, they have money to spend on knives. So the prices are driven up. This is just my idea on knife prices.

Robert , I think the Remingtons have really escalated in value , they have always been collectible but they have taken a hugh jump in  price. Of course thats the old stuff as I say.  Robeson's as well which Im a fan of .  and I have to add Northfield that was made in CT  the vintage has gained a popularity without doubt because of the GEC resergance of the Brand. I have been aggressivley been collecting these Northfields now for a while... prices are climbing for now

love the vintage knives best of all!!!!

You have to decide whether to pay the high prices or be happy with what you got. It can be a difficult decision.

Ken, I know what you mean about the vintage Robeson's. I have been trying to get a small Robeson Barlow but the prices are out of sight.

Last night I tried to bid on some vintage Winchesters and their prices went through the roof.
