Thanks for your response, Carl.

I can certainly appreciate how cutlery history can become rather muddled. I guess we can only speculate, in some cases, as to the steel that was used in some of our older knives.

Cheers, to you, my friend!

Hi my name is Bill.Your friend Ron Copper referred me to you.he told me you were a collector of Puma knives and could possible help me out with providing information. Specifically date of manufacture and value but also any other information would be great. I thought I sent this message first. Sorry for any confusion. Thanks again!!!

fan. I trying to find out as much information on the Puma knife I have. It's a 10" Puma Solingen model 6320 Bowie Scout with the Abercrombie & Fitch Co. Made in Germany engraving on the blade. It has the curved stag handle and both the knife and sheath are in very good condition. I'm very untested in the date of manufacture and the value of it in today's market in mint and what mine would be worth in its condition. If your interested I can send pictures via e-mail because they only allow me 3 pictures to post and I'm not even sure they are on my post. All that I know is that it was made in the 40's or 50's in Germany and that it's rare to find a 10" Puma Bowie but super rare to find one with the A&F engraving on it. PLEASE HELP!!!! It's driving me nuts that I can't find out any more information!! Thank You for your time. I'm looking forward to have some questions answered!!!

Carl, thanks for the reply.  You are right.  The so called main stream media is so prejudiced that they will not print the truth.

Don't worry, I am an NRA member and am paid up until 2019.  I also have contributed to the NRA ILA.

And for what its worth, I EDC both an S&W .38 and a Ruger LCP.

Carl,

I just have to comment that you certainly have a fantastic collection of fixed blades! Especially those older Puma's! I thoroughly enjoy admiring your collection!

Cheers,

Ron

Hi Carl. I'm sorry to tell you that the orders for the GEC #36 Buffalo Horn Sunfish are closed and the knives have been delivered. I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to get one as I see that you have a wonderful collection of Sunfish and Toenails. GEC just released a brand new knife called the "Whaler" which is a copy of the C. Platts Jumbo Swell Center Elephant Toenail. I would suggest that you call GEC, or a GEC distributor, right away and order one befor the limited production sells out.

Howdy Carl and likewise! I also am hanging with IE8. Seems more "stable" to my taste. In saying this, I must admit that technology races ahead and I end up kind of "chasing it" from a distance. Oh wel. The upside generally outweights the frustration, right? Be well and keep your powder dry!

Carl- I have been looking into known issues and all the info I can find indicates Internet Explorer 9 is incompatible. Do you by chance use this as your web browser?

Hi Carl, I'll put that Happy Birthday wish in the bank for next Jan 26.  One can never have too much  good will currency!  Your  Ka-Bar MOP   toe knife is super.  I'd would venture that your Dad's combat knives are your favorite blades.  Connections through knives are treasures of memory.  All the best, Bill

What kind of ebay info are you looking for? I have sold before but am not a big seller right now. I buy on ebay mostly now.  Thanks for the thumbs up on my eBay tips blog article.

That Finish folder is made with  stock aluminum extrusions intended for windows or screen doors. I'm told the shop is very small.

Carl, I hope you will join our new "uniqueopen/lock" group.

Carl

got an email today through the iKnifecollector system from you telling me you'd like to join our Elephant Toenail Collector Club, but I see you have clicked in and joined the group we have here for it, SO you are already a member! No Membership dues or anything like that. We met once up on Bradford at Case (in the boardroom...it was pretty cool) but haven't scheduled another meeting....really we're an online club :)

Glad to have you!

Scott
