Steve,

I think I saw a video using this method where the guy put his pan atop the split log - no stove or fire rack needed.

Ah, wood stoves bring back memories to me.  For the first 18 years of my life until I went off to college, we heated our farmhouse with wood stoves.  For the first dozen years of my life we even cooked on a wood cook stove.  I cut and split and carried many a load of wood.

I just bought a new wood burning stove for my camp. I can't wait to get it put in. Cold weather is coming.

What type of fuel did you use? That is a great way to say fire wood.

I'm heading back to my camp today for a few days. I'll be making my first deer hunt and plan on doing some work on my camp. The outdoors are so nice and pretty this time of year. Ya'll get outside if possible.

Great ministry Jeremy. I was a leader for about 7years in the early 90's. My two sons earned their GMA's. I had aa lot of fun with the kids.

Well the boys and the pig appear to be having a great time.  I think the goats are confused LOL.  Jeremy, this is such a cool thing you are doing with these boys!

I just got home from our camp out last night. Had a great time with the boys. For those of you who don't know, I just started teaching a boys club at church on Wednesday nights (the Royal Rangers). I wanted to get a camp out in before it gets too cold. We were on the verge of being too cold last night, but we survived. Here are a few pics from last night and this morning. Did I mention, we had a pig and two goats to keep us company all night? LOL
