I can sharpen freehand reasonably Steve and was never happy about spending the best part of $200 on a sharpener. After I worked out what I had spent on knives in the last year, with little chance of any respite, I thought $200 isn't that much anyway !

Brad it's Jack and yourself who have persuaded me to go this route. I have been reading your posts in the sharpening section and have started watching video's on You Tube to get the hang of the machine. I have arranged a good postage rate with Greg, thought it may have been heavy to the UK so I will order one in the next week . There are stockists here but they charge more than importing it myself !

Definitely get the Edge Pro Apex system! It is worth it. Take your time while learning & watch the video more than once.
