Lee, here is an old discussion-http://iknifecollector.com/forum/topics/knife-cutlery-books?id=3181... - I do a lot of knife research and these days, usually my first stop is " Goins' Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings"- Next, Levine's Guide to Knives--Anything past 4th Edition is not personally endorsed by Mr. Levine-- My 3rd stop is Jim Sargent's "American Premium Guide to Knives and Razors-5th edition--Many times, the older copies of these are more informative than the newer ones-- There are many other good books out there, many that I own, but these are my top 3 favs-- These older editions can usually be found for a reasonable (dare I say cheap) price on Amazon-- Sometimes they can come in pretty handy, as when I found your "Great White" in a 2001 knife book-- If all else fails, I always love a good knife mystery !!
