Rome,

That is fantastic.  That is actually who I have the question out to.  I figured SMKW!  I would love to see the advertising for this

Well I have yet to find that ad, I thought that I had saved it.  But in looking for it I found several old Blade and

Knife magazines with articles about Queen.

But I am still looking.

Rome

Well i have been unable to find the notebook with this ad in it.

It really bothers me because it also had several old Western catalogs, some Gerber

flyers and some winchester info in it.   I have not given up yet, i know it is in the house somewhere.

But as compensation is a couple of pictures of a Queen flyer.I know it has nothing to do with this knife just keeping the thread going a little longer.

Hey I like the "knife for life" angle!

Rome,

Thanks for circulating this ad.. Source?  From the model #s on the left side, it looks like middle to late 1970s - when the Mountainman was new and had the 1440 number ( first in 1976 I think) and they were offering the Outdoorsman version of a 1500.

Thanks,

Dan

This is a scan of a Queen Steel tri fold advertisement.

I guess they were point of sale type ads that you picked up at the

hardware store.
