Sounds like you had a great day with a great gun. I can't wait to get back out to the range again. Thanks for your input on your experience with the AR also.

Great day at the range well over three hundred rounds sent down range of various bulk type ammo, and no failures at all.  I mounted a 3 power Nikon 223 AR scope, great at 50 yards but not enough magnification at 100.  Groups good at 50 around 1", with cheap bulk style ammo.  100 yard groups are a little over what I would like, I would say around 3 inches with the same ammo.  I have added some Daniel Defense parts and pieces, a new grip and stock, both are very good improvements  I choose this over the new Ruger, and the very popular Smith & Wesson M&P sport model because this gun is entry level priced but not entry level on features.  Armalite invented the AR after all!!  I was looking before the scare a year or so back but held off because of inflated prices.  If you are looking at a AR, I believe it is about as much a buyers market as it has ever been, plenty of inventory, and prices are really good right now.  Ammo is a bit scarce but I think that is rebounding also.  Below is a link to the Armalite website with the three different models in this line.
