Whenever I'm deciding which of my EDC blades to take with me for the day I always have a hard time choosing. I always end up carrying more than one, Five to be exact. Does anyone else have a hard time deciding which knife to carry so you end up taking more than one? If so which two do you have the most trouble with deciding on?

I always carry more than one blade for my daily-carry.For 28Feb'15: Buck112(hard use);CRKT'NoTimeOff'(security);GEC's #s 99(food prep) and 22('Sheeples-friendly);Leatherman(multitool);Flash light and Zippo* (for need or emergency)*i don't smoke.

Nice looking EDC Lantz! I hope you don't mind that I copied and then pasted your photograph so it would be easier to see?

Large files (pics) are hard to see when they are posted as attachments. If, when you're posting pics, you click on the second icon in the toolbar above the message box (Image) that you're posting in. That will open your photo library on your computer's hard drive and then you can select the picture you wish to post. Click on that picture and it will then appear in a reduced size right in the body of your message. If someone wants to look at the full sized giant behemoth of a photograph all they have to do is click on the reduced sized photo in your message.

Hmm? I hope that makes sense?

Lantz, Without clicking on anything simply hold your cursor over the second icon that I mentioned in my previous message. Just hold it over that icon for a second and you should see the word "Image" appear. That is the icon that you need to click on as I explained in my previous message. Do you see it?

Well, Since I don't have an iPad I have no way of knowing what can be done or what you see when you're posting a message here at iKC. But I'm sure that there is a way to do it. As you probably know, when it comes to computers, there are always several different way to perform any given application. In fact, can you do what I did when I re-posted your EDC picture - Copy and Paste? Find the pic you want to post and then copy it to your clipboard (Simply right click and select "Copy" from the drop down menu) and then Paste it into the body of your message. That should work?

I seem to always end up with four or five. I like carrying "larger" folders that are 3 3/4" or larger in sheaths, and since I carry every single knife in my collection eventually, I always have at least two sheath knives on my belt, (one per hip), (deciding which knife(s) to carry can be an issue though...that's a story for another thread)

That leaves my pockets, so I have at least two knives in various pockets. Handkerchief and a pen knife go in the left, another pen goes into the change/watch pocket, (change, etc goes into the right pocket itself). Then I usually also have a knife on a lanyard clipped to my belt loop, with the knife down into the left/rear pocket. Lately that "back pocket" knife has been a vintage IK Co Boys Jack knife, (see photo). It's small & thin, 3" closed, and is an all-metal knife. It has a bail for the lanyard, has a still sharp & tight blade, and has the strongest spring of any knife I own. These were built tough, and though old I have no fear of ever breaking it, so I carry it often recently. My hip knives are usually 4 1/8" trappers, but I also carry a Russlock frequently in either horizontal or regular sheath, and occasionally a Buck 110 or equivalent. If wearing boots that day, there is also a 4" tactical clipped inside one of my boots, so on those days the total knife count is easily six. Once or twice a year I strap on my fixed blades, but only in certain situations, and there is always two or three in my pockets.

Here's that "back pocket" knife.

Now that is an old beauty!  I love this type of knife.  Simple, easy to carry and always useful.  No one around yu freaks out if you pull out something like this

That is a nice one Syd!. I have been carrying two myself. Ever since I got my Benchmade 585 Mini Barrage, I haven't been able to carry anything else. Recently I picked up a Leatherman Skeletool CX and have been carrying both as EDC's. I use the Benchmade for most cutting needs but have pulled the Skeletool out a few times for the knife and pliers. They both have pocket clips so I carry the Mini Barrage clipped to my right front pocket and the Skeletool clipped to my left front pocket.

Thanks, I like it. I initially carried it due to my personal "rule" of using and carrying ALL of my knives, but after carrying it for awhile I have grown more and more fond of it. Most people who see it are fascinated, and love hearing it's "story". I did some research, have dated this knife to around 1935, (that's a firm "maybe"), and these were deliberately made tough, being made for the youth market who couldn't afford a regular pocket knife, thus the name "Boys Knife". They were actually THE cheap knife of the 30's, but were made so well it isn't unusual to see them today in good usable condition, (like this one). I'm still not sure if the blade is SS or carbon, the later ones were apparently SS, but this blade, though mostly still shiny, has a few stains on it, so it might be carbon. Maybe someone here can confirm that for me. A very sleek, comfy-in-the-hand little knife, a joy to own....and use.

Never leave home without at least 3 blades, sometimes up to 5.I always carry a Cold Steel XL blade Hold Out 1,Rajah ll,Voyager, etc.Wear the carpenter style pant with the long pocket on side of leg.One of those ride there. Then i carry a Cold Steel Counter Point 1 most often as a primary. Then usually a Swiss Army Tinker model in a sheath on belt.Back left pocket i carry a Kershaw Tremor. Then right side with wallet a SOG Slim Jim XL.Change out all blades from time to time but that is the most consistent line up.

I carry a buck 110 on my hip a gerber multitool on my hip a buck 307 from 1986 that my dad bought me. That's what I carry most of the time. Now, I live in the middle of nowhere and I have wild pig on my property so I do carry a .40 glock and a buck 124 when im out in the yard

My primary firearm is a Glock 19.Carried in an assortment of IWB holsters.

I have two different Buck 110's that I switch between for EDC, although sometimes I'll carry my Schrade Old Timer 25OT with me (USA Made) for something different
