Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I've been looking high and low for more info about this case knife. It seems to be very rare since I can find very little about it. One of the things I did find was an old post in this group from 2013 so I thought I'd try for more information. I have a pretty good guide to case knives as well and have not been able to find anything about it or anything like it there either.

I'd be interested in any information as to price, age, rarity etc.

I borrowed the photo above from that old thread because it is quite nice, but below I will add some of my own.

Well never mind age; I guess it's a 1990 knife in a 1988 box duh.

Thanks for any help though.

ASK THE FACTORY, I HAVE SOME KNIVES FROM WHEN JIM PARKER OWNED CASE BUT NEVER SEEN ONE WITH "LIMITED" WARRANTY ALWAYS BEEN LIFETIME. HE IS THE ONE WHO BROUGHT THE QUALITY BACK TO CASE, THIS HOW I WRITE SO TAKE NO OFFENSE

Nice links Jean. I recognized the Blackie Collins overall design/concept. Some of his most recent designs still have the "flavor" of the Hunter depicted here in this thread. I too like old Case fix blades. Recently our own Steve Hanner did a test and evaluation of the Case Ridge-back Skinner. Check his article he wrote on his web page. Case was thrilled with his opinion and write-up. Check here:  https://stevehannerknives.wordpress.com/2016/04/22/case-ridgeback-s...

I've seen a lot of "limited lifetime warranty" - which is just intended in case (;=) a Mr Stupid abuses his knife.

Thanks !

Very interesting links. Thanks for the replies. Does anyone have an educated guess as to how many of this model could exist or it's value.

Looks like that photo I borrowed originally came from knifekid in that AAPK thread Jean provided(Thanks!) and it looks like he sold it. Does anyone know him well enough to ask the sale price and what he estimates the current value to be? I'm not a member there.

Regrettably Scott, Knife Kid (Perry Miller) passed away.  I will pass this thread on to our research wizard, John McCain and see if he can locate an approx value

A great loss.

Scott-Only one I know of was sold on WorthPoint  a while back- Unfortunately I don't have a membership to see the selling price. Maybe someone else has a membership, or you could sign up for their free trial, get the info, and cancel your membership. Here is the link---

Sorry to hear about Mr Miller, but thanks for the info Jan and for contacting John.

John, thanks for finding that item:

I also found another example on worthpoint from 2006 here:

http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/case-xx-fix-blade-knife-596-2...

...though that one looks like a wood handle and I can't tell if the sheath is original.

I hope I can find someone with a membership, or that someone with one will see this thread so I can see those prices; but if it comes down to it I will go through the free trial...it looks involved though so I will give it a bit.

Thanks.
