Just commissioned a new ship for the fleet. Came in WAY under budget, and has a delivery date of the 7th.

Got a lot of 6 carved beads still enroute, Dale. Pics when they come in. Needless to say, this last boat is awesome. Still has the old box that the fellow that I got it from bought in the early 90s. Box is worse for wear, but it's protected the boat for lots of years.

Checking the local Asian markets for whole brined Chinese black olives. They can be found in places on the west coast, but scarce here.

AliExpress has these, https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32246447206.html?aff_click_id=97cbd64... not sure though if they're actual olive pits, or just wood shaped like them.

OK .. just spent the last 1/2 hr looking for a source for olive pits / stones & have come to the conclusion

.

You're going to have to start eating un-pitted olives.

?? Have you seen this ??

It's a quick read.

I see what you mean when you stated , "... also need to find a supply of these particular olive pits."

.

I've just spent ~ 15 min trying to nail down a source & best I can do is "tonnes for biomass". Which .. i'm assuming .. 'tis a bit more than you need :)

.
Didn't think they'd be that hard to find !!

The flagship, to my fleet, has arrived in port.

One happy camper.

Yep, guess I'm officially a junk collector, Dale.

Still on the hunt for some good micro tools, but also need to find a supply of these particular olive pits.

Funny, these carved boats can almost be directly related to my knife collecting.  Got my first seahorse when I started carving pits.  Saw one of these and said, to myself,  that I'd get one one of these days...
