Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

These are WWII issue folding machetes. They were carried mostly in backpacks by airmen in the South Pacific. I realize that this is a Case area, however thought that I would show a couple of other makers also; Camillus & Cattaraugus. I have better examples, but just can't dig them out right now. The black object below is a blade guard.

Hope you enjoy.

Mario,

Thanks for posting these pics! I see these now and again - mostly the Camillus models, but they (as well as most WWII stuff) are getting more expensive and hard to come by. Hopefully will add one to my collection some day when the availability and finances are aligned, lol. It seems that one is lucky to find them with their guards as many were lost. If you don't mind me asking, are they still usable or do they have too much wobble to feel safe? The ones that you've posted look pretty good! Thanks again for posting...!

Hi Tom,

Aside form some discoloration due to age, they are in perfect working order. Tight lock up & very sharp.

Neat pieces of history!
