In the meantime, I just got two more Ponies..........

Teak Wood

Bermuda Green

Possibly, stranger things have happened. I carry it in a sheath too so a pocketful of change couldn't have done it. The only thing metal getting close to the blade is the snap on the flap of the sheath, and I don't see how that could have created the scratch. You can see in the photos that the end of the pen blade is further down, so I can't see how that scratch was made by that blade; total befuddlement. Like you say, maybe it was gremlins.

Love that Teak, the anchor shield is awesome, (the Bermuda Green ain't so bad either). Where are you finding all these horses with exotic handles?

That IS strange Syd. If your sure that the pen blade didn't do it, have you thought about Gremlins? LOL!

Here are photos of the "mystery scratch" on my Case Seahorse that I mentioned above. It's roughly aligned with a nail nick on one of the pen blades, but I don't think my fingernail is capable of producing that scratch, plus I have never opened the small blades while the master was closed. Puzzling.

The scratch seems to follow the arch of the pen blade, could have been a piece of sand or something between the two.
BTW, whenever I use a sheath with a snap, I always epoxy a scrap piece of leather over any exposed metal.

Craig, you're killing me...

Thanks Syd and JJ!

I have absolutely loved looking at all of these seahorses.  So much so, that I ordered one!  Was really looking at the worm groove moss brown, but then saw a 2015 tortoise shell olive green bone and decided on that one (because I know my daughter would also like it).  This will be my first Case.  Thanks everyone and especially Craig.  The pics of his collection gave me the push I needed!

Hey Dennis, that is fantastic.  I cant wait for it to get to you and hear what you think and if your daughter does like it!

Dennis will be buying multiples too. LOL

Thanks Dennis!

She arrived today and I am thrilled with it.  And, Jan, I think my daughter will be too.  I have to send her pics tonight.  You see, anytime I buy a new knife ... I always (to some degree or another) consider whether or not she will like it.  This is because at some point, all of my knives will be hers to love or liquidate!!!

Awesome horse Dennis, congratulations. I am in the same boat concerning daughters & knife collections. Only problem I have is if my daughter takes a shine to one of mine she just says thanks and takes off with it. Like you, they will be hers to do with as she pleases eventually, but hey girl, let dad enjoy them for a little while before taking them away!!

What is the name of that handle anyway?

Sid ... This one is called tortoise shell olive green bone.  I really like the looks of it.  It was between this and the worm groove moss brown (which I still may get!!).  I liked the looks of both of them.
