Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Since completing my Buck 300 Series collection, (ie; one of each regular model made by Camillus between 1972-1986), I have been on another mission; to collect one of each model of the Buck 300 Series SFO's, (special factory orders). It has taken me over two years to complete, but today's mail delivery put the final knife in my hands. I now have at least one of each model, (still working on one of each version, a whole other mission). Below are the latest arrivals; Buck #331 Grandaddy Barlow in Jigged Bone, #333 California Toothpick in Stagalon, (rarest of the rare), and a very special #334 Millennium Trapper in Jigged Bone, this one a serialized limited edition, serial #0082. I am going to take a "family" photo of all the SFO's soon, but in the meantime here are those new and very special arrivals.

I am obviously thrilled to have these wonderful knives, but I am also wondering just what to do next. One thing I WILL do is take all of the SFO's with me to the LA Knife Expo in Pasadena later this month to display them at the BCCI booth. I mean what's the use of having a collection if you don't show them off?

Stay tuned for a "family" photo!

We'll see, I have to call that guy Bruce to see if they even want them on display, seems BCCI is a tad disorganized, so I'll keep you posted on developments.

OMG!!!  Now that would be a show to beat them all!

The guy I got these from has an extensive collection, and an Ebay store to support his habit. This being tax season he didn't want any more sales listed on the 1099 he gets from Ebay, so needed some sales "off the books" so to speak. We communicated via email and dickered between ourselves, and I ended up getting way better prices than he was asking on the bay, and like I said agreed to hold one other knife for me til later. I'm still amazed at how many rare and custom Bucks the guy has.

On another front, I may be sharing part of a BCCI table with David Yellowhorse and displaying my SFO collection at the LA Knife Expo later this month. I'm supposed to contact a guy Bruce Dollinger about that, which I will do in the next day or so. It would be an honor just to meet the guy let alone share a table with him. I'll let you know how that develops.

I love finding a person that knows their stuff and is willing to work with you on building the collection you want.  We had a gentleman in TX when I first started collecting Case and he had some amazing pieces.  He worked out a deal for me to pay for them, he just auto billed x amount every month.  A good many stags came home from him!

Thanks Jan, woo hoo indeed! I recently found a honey hole of Bucks....thank God for Paypal Credit!!! I have no idea where the guy found all of the rare and custom Bucks he has, but I know better than to pass up a sure thing! Better yet the guy has one of the Toothpicks in genuine stag and is holding it for me until I recover financially a bit from the three knives I already bought from him, (nice guy, he offered to hold it for a couple of months). I admit the price(s) was pretty high, but taking a chance of not finding these again pushed me over the edge.

That big Trapper is truly awesome isn't it?
