I decided to try a black oxide finish on this. After watching a youtube video, I gave it a try. This is the end result. I am happy with it.

Thanks Dale. I liked it too. That's why I went with this one. I just got it back on the handle and put a nice edge on it. Already for use.

What did you do for the finish .. drop the whole thing in an etchant bath ??

Such as .. ferric chloride ? That's what I do for mine when I want a similar finish & some protection from the elements.
