Just picked up a rough looking Victorinox, off eBay, to rehab. Got all the parts ready and waiting.

Scotch Brite pads.
I was worried, with the sellers pics, that the scales were actually damaged. Still have 4 extra sets, if needed.
They're not good enough for display, but for my EDC bag, this one came out just fine.

Nice job, JJ.

.
How'd you buff the handle out .. w/o damaging anything ??

Got most of the imperfections off the scales...

Ready for a new lanyard and a place in my EDC bag.

Rehab easier than anticipated.
Knife was in better shape than the sellers pics showed. Buffed out the imperfections on the scales, replaced the missing split ring, tweezers and toothpick and gave it a proper cleaning.
Resharpen the blades and it'll be good to go.
