Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

OK, so by now we all know the chat is down.  I have passed the frustration level and now think we should just have a little fun with it.

So tell what the first thing you would tell me in the chat, if it worked.

One entry per person

Everyone is eligible

Contest ends when we get the chat back...that's the fun part who knows?

I have a brand new Case Paste for our winner!

DON-

WOW DOES NOT COME CLOSE TO THE WORDS i USED WHEN THAT PIC POPPED UP!!!

Jan, ffter it (they) arrive I will take pictures and post the trio in the Queen forum.Tracey is a better photographer so I will use her pics first.

I'd let everyone know that I'm selling my military edged weapon collection. Sad, but it's time.

I'd guess that others are feeling the same way when they discover that time is moving quickly and you can't hold them forever; although I keep dragging my feet. "Not that one. That one's special. Sigh. Well, aren't they all?"

Here are a couple of the S&M autos with a nice custom auto (bolster release) by Jim Krause that I got at the Blade Show. They are all very well appreciated. It took a few tries to get used to the release on the S&Ms. It's a reissue of an older auto design. The Krause knife shows his collaboration with Whiskers Allen, an old friend of both of us.

IT LIVES!!!

AHA .. it's back up !!!

Those are great knives! The 030x series is even better, if you like a good size and weight knife.

Happy 4th of July to all members!!

Jan had asked to see some pictures of one of my latest WW2 Mark 2 knife purchases.  I have never posted any photos on here before, so I hope I get it right!  This knife is supposed to be the "Holy Grail" of all of the WW2 Mark 2 knives made.  Some sources say that only 5000 total were made of the "USMC" Robeson Mark 2.  These have the very early and distinctive "Red Spacers" behind the guard and in front of the pommel.  These knives were also finished using a super nice bluing process, similar to a fine civilian firearm.  Robeson also made a very special leather scabbard for these particular USMC knives.   They used "black" stiches, instead of the usual white color, and also incorporated an "ornate" closure snap not found on other sheaths.

I am also sending pictures of an early rare USMC KA-BAR Mark 2 which I also have acquired recently for my collection.  These very early "blued" versions are extremely difficult to find; especially in excellent condition, as most of these were heavily used in frontline combat by our Marines.
