This is the last of the different types of key knives in my collection. It has a blade, a nail file, and a hidden key. A true Gentleman knife. No grease under his finger ails and no broken finger nais.

Jan, I only know that the key blanks that were used started ib the 30's. I could never find out the exact history because most knife collectors never heard of them because most were made by Imperial. When Imperial bought Hammer, they continued the Hammer logo on the knives. Robeson got into the act when Imperial went into the Gentleman knife business. I joined this club hoping to find some history . I have one knife by Colonial. The fisherman knife looked to me like some Car Guy removed the descaler without destroying the knife and inserted his own key blank. I don't know jow to move around this site (or any computer site) so I was hoping to meet soneone that knew about. The closest I got were the Ammon Smith and the James Henderson knives. I'm 80 years old so I don't have a whole lot of time to find out.  HELP

Pete

A ROBESON .. now that's cool.

It's refreshing to see that these were made by more than just IMPERIAL.

ROBESON made a very good knife back in their day.

Pete,

I have to tell you these knives fascinate me!  Having collected for near 30 years I knew nothing about them.  Do you know what years they were being produced?  Was Imperial the only producer for them?
