Whenever I post knives I always wrap the contents in Bubble Wrap then put it into the postal shipping box/satchel - seems to me that is just "common sense" - not so much for moisture, more to prevent crushing ....If who ever posted the knives to you had taken that simple step you would have a problem. All the same you'd think the delivery guy wouldn't put mail anywhere it could get wet.

Wow. That sucks! Those packages can take a pretty good beating too. I don't remember if it was UPS or USPS or both but I've received packages left in clear plastic bags during inclement weather. Sounds like the deliveryman was just one of them there "clueless" ones.

Even if it was in bad shape upon delivery, I know the USPS puts it in a plastic bag with a notice that has instructions on what to do.

That's not good , not good at all . When you see how these packages get thrown about it's a wonder there isn't more damage about . So far I have been fortunate with parcels from the States and from Europe , Knife and Tool in Germany do some Stellar packaging , Lamnia is about the same .
