A pretty neat Buck knife I picked up at a flea market today. Made in 1997 or 1998 I believe only around 300 were made.

Nice score!

Buck should really try updating these modifications & give it another go.  My two biggest problems with the 110 are the weight of the knife & the fact that it's a two-hand opener (as in, I almost never carry a 110 primarily for these two reasons) -- this mod addresses one of those.  I know there are aftermarket sources from quick-application thumbstuds, but they're not manufacturer-made...

I just checked .. Joe Houser is a 28+ yr employee of BUCK & possible family member. I'm guessing .. he'd know what he's talking about .. Re: the comment below.

From the context this is presented .. I'm guessing the gentleman making the comment is in some manner connected w/ BUCK. Note the "Manufacturer's Forums" listing @ the btm. And .. he clearly states "we made" in his comment.

Link is here.

The pictured comment is at the btm of the discussion.

!!! .. Really nice find , Adam .. !!!

I did not realize Buck was making with thumbstuds in the 90's.  A low run and a great color..nice find!
