If I remember right the yellow toenail I have is the Gold Rush series. I don't know if they did others or not.
I agree the hunt is fun...the only problem is after we get a "find," we go on the hunt again...so is it the knife or the hunt that is the most fun??

Scott,

You can't have it! After all where would my collection be without it's center piece. Got to have my yellow handled "toenail" in it. I'll bet you already have one of those too, you must have every toenail ever produced and more. As far as I know I have one of every pattern Case has made with yellow derlin handles. The "hobo" and the straight razor were the hardest to come by. It took many years of looking to get the "hobo". Over thirty years ago I seen one at a hardware store but didn't have the money to buy it. When I went back a week or so later it was gone. The one I have is the second one I have ever seen. I am still looking for a two bladed "hobo". Not really sure if one was ever made. Case couldn't tell me if they ever produced a two bladed one. Their records showed only a three bladed one but I have been told by another collector that he has seen one at a show somewhere so I'll keep looking. Looking is the fun in this hobby. Once you find it you can sit back and admire it but you go right on looking for the next "BIG" find.

Happy hunting
Earl

Nice set. I can't help but notice the center piece too, or is my eye just drawn to the toenail?
