<p>A UK friend of mine turned me on to his favorite "propelling" pencil a couple of years ago. So I got one. It's a Yard-o-led Diplomat in sterling silver, this one made in 1948. The barrel is hexagonal with a barley pattern. This is a great desk pencil, but sometimes goes with me in a slip. </p>

<p>I'm looking for suggestions for a knife to pair it with. I'm just getting started in traditional folders so figured this would be an interesting project to explore new directions.</p>
