We now have alligators here in North Alabama. There was a story in a local paper today about a six foot alligator that game wardens captured at a town on the Tennessee River. All they did was move it to another part of the river away from any town. Because as the paper stated, they couldn't just kill it.

The other day while fishing, I took a break and got out of my boat and went in the woods mushroom hunting. I found a few and while I was at it I took a picture of some, I'll try post that picture and a picture of either a Alligator or Snapping Turtle Egg.
Don't worry Andy. I have no intention of eating that or any other mushroom! I do not like them. And besides I can't identify which are poisonous or not. With my luck if I did try to gather and eat them, the very first one I ate would be deadly poison!

Andy Voelkle "AxeMan" said:…

Robert, I think anyone with a boat needs at least 2. One for the boat and one to carry. Be interesting to see what kind of egg you saw. Just hope the owner doesn't start watching that clutch a little closer when you go back in case it's bigger than a breadbox, which most gators are.

One for you and one for the Mrs. I agree that this one is most likely an advanced scout. You'll go to sleep one night with a beautiful lawn and the next morning.....INVASION!! Once they get rooted, there's no stopping them. They'll start with your yard and quickly infest your neighbor's yard. Then they cover the whole block and within a few days your entire community has succombed to the invasion. And it doesn't stop there. If you and the Mrs. watch "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" you'll understand why you must be proactive before it's too late. We could all be in mortal danger all because your wife doesn't understand and you're wishy-washy about "do I need to buy a mushroom hunter's knife"! For God's sake man!!! Buy a knife and save the world!!!

This is a no brainer decision. Of course you need a mushroom knife. If you have mushrooms in the yard then a new knife is the only way to go. The good part is that you are going to SMKW where they have a good selection to choose from. I know you will find just what you "need". Josh will help. Good luck my Friend.
