What is your favorite Tang stamp in your collection?

Easy enough question, or is it? Please provide a pic of your favorite tang stamp, whether it be pristine or weathered a and small explanation why.

I will provide a picture of mine tomorrow...just as soon as I figure out which one it is. It is a toss up between the Shapleigh Hdwe Diamond Edge stamp, EC Simmons Keen Kutter or the Hammer Brand.

But don't wait for me, if you have it in mind already go ahead and post away.

Jerry,

I had not seen the Richards tang until recently but I sure do like it!

The blade itself was covered with scratches from the use, but stamp clear.
This is my first Randall knife (#10-(7-5)). Good EDC :)

That is sure one fine tang!

Thanks Jan!

Oh, I see my mistake. Must read #10-(7-2)
This is the name I invented myself. Once I bought it to Ebay as a #10-5,
I had some suspicions due to the thickness of the tip.
I sent it to the RMK store, they confirmed - this #10-7 with a broken tip and re-sharpened

I love this knife. Have no idea who the maker is since the maker mark has no info on the internet. Its the word Lucky, w/ a indention of a Star, with a P and small c maybe at its side too.  Anyone have any info on its maker??? I love this knife. I collect fillets and it was listed as such but I think it has more appearances of a fighter.

I dont recognize it right off Peter but I will keep looking

Thanks Jan, I have tried for months and without any luck.  I think it could of been a commissioned knife from a really good knife maker. It is well made, high quality stuff.  Ok , if might of been a casino boss in the Mafia and did in Jimmy Hoffa. LOL Let me know if you find something.

I have just received information it could of been made in the  Spokane , Washington State area, since they purchased it at auction about 30 years ago.  I am hoping they might also know a street if it was a home auction or the auctioneers name and location .  Hope that might help someone on here to know it was Spokane area of purchase. Seldom did knives travel much more then from where they were made in those days/. We did not have Ebay or alike type auction sites.

I have a knife with the same logo.  I can't find information either.  My husband had the knife and stored the sheath separately and the sheath said "Lucky Star".

Would it be possible to ask him where he bought it?  I paid cheap for this knife. I got really expensive knives. I bought this one as sort of a filler knife. They listed it on Ebay as a fillet, which is what I collect. When I got it , its more like a fighter. It is now my favorite knife. Certainly not because the knife maker was so well known to make quality knives , not because it was so expensive, not because of any sentimental reasons, just because I love it. Don't ask but it fits my hand so nicely, I love its feel, shape, and weight.  If you can send me a picture I might be interested in buying it from your husband if he wants to sell it. My sheath does not read Lucky with a Star. It has nothing on it. Just let me know what he says and thanks so much for letting me know there is at least one more out there.  If you want my email is : Broadview1313@aol.com. Hope this site allows emails to be exchanged. I think it does.  I will find out. lol

Thanks so much, Peter

Peter yes you can give out your personal email but actually we have an email system within the site also and it is private.  You just go to anyones page, look under the pic and click on send a message :)

Would you be able to send any pictures of your knife with Lucky Star on it? I would love to see another.  Is there any other marks on your knife?

Thanks,

Peter
