NEWs FROM TUNA

Now, a new chapter has begun for Ryan and Courtney Daniels.  "Daniels Family Knife Brands" is offering the exiting new Excelsior Knife Company line of knives directly crafted by the knife makers that also design them.

They also are continuing the very popular Tuna Valley Cutlery Co. knife brand, marketed towards the contemporary collector.

Thanks to everyone for all their support over the years, and we hope to talk with you in person at one of the many knife shows we attend throughout the year! We have many projects on the horizon, and hope you check here often to see what is coming next.

Carl Bradshaw, that is a great suggestion. I had never thought about a club knife before. I am going to look into it. Thanks!

Next Tuna Valley pattern will be out by the end of August... it's been awhile since a new pattern has come out due to some machinery and over load at Queen. Also, the new Oiseau Metal Arts knife will be out by the end of the month as well. Was not planned this way just the way it ended up.

Courtney, I would like to suggest you submit a Tuna Valley, pearl handled, baby doctor's knife pattern for the NKCA youth knife for 2014.  I am a youth knife collector, and they have never had a doctor pattern, a pearl handle, or a Tuna Valley knife before.  It would be awesome, and very unique.  :)

Getting close to the end of the month, wonder what beauty is in the works for us this time?

Comment by Courtney Daniels on July 9, 2013 at 7:26

Wow, is right! Thank you Carl for sharing that picture of that knife. It's a beauty. And Paul, Thank you for those kind words of the Daniels Family in the knife industry.

You should be seeing the next Tuna Valley pattern right around the end of this month. Thank you again for all the followers and I hope to see as many of you who can make it up in Titusville for the Queen show in a few weeks.

Wow! There's some serious knife porn on this page! That pearl/abalone Whittler is obscene, as are those Moose patterns!

Carl, your old school Tuna's are like the cherry on top of these super sweet cutlery confections!

This should leave no doubt as to why they call Ron the Big Tuna!

Comment by Jan Carter on July 8, 2013 at 19:52

WOW, Carl that is one sweet one though!

I know this isn't quite the same Tuna Valley, but this is the only one I have.  1906 Tuna Valley (Case Bros) pearl ladies knife. Roughly 600 produced.
