I love this knife. I got it about a month ago. It was at an antique store listed as a letter opener. It has history and is odd. Kissing Crane logo with a Sheffield England make. I think it is from the 1840's -1860's and was a lady of the night knife.

I bought this and 7 other knives at a rummage sale, a friend of mine told me too look them up cause they look vintage. All of the knives I found info on except the one I'm sending pictures of, sorry about the quality of the pics. The little info Ive found tells me its a Ka Bar Dogs Head, the odd part about it is the dog head emblem doesn't have Ka bar etched into it. The blade has Union etched into it, is this an odd knock off or something. Can anyone enlighten me on what I have here?…

My mom had this set, I have no idea where she got it from or how long she has had it. The only information that I can find is that it says Geo. Worthington Co. from Cleveland and it says "Clear cut" on it. I am very new to all of this and just trying to find out if it is anything special or if it is just a common set. I read a little about George Worthington Co. this morning and thought that was interesting, but no idea how old this set is, what the handles are made out of,…

I'm new to IKC, so not sure if this is the right place to ask, but wondering if anyone is familiar with this handle material, which I was told is called Abalone Flake. It appears tho be clear celluloid with pieces of abalone molded in. I got the first knife with the Slant bolsters back in the late sixties in a box of old knives from my grandfather's garage. Years later when I met my eventual father-in-law (his name was Ron Arteman, he was an early and avid NKCA member), he sorted through the…

Years later when I met my eventual father-in-law (his name was Ron Arteman, he was an early and avid NKCA member), he sorted through the box and picked a couple of knives that were decent and polished them up and the abalone suddenly appeared. In subsequent years I collected a handful of other knives with the same material, most Imperial, but a few others - Shapleigh, Ulster, Keen Blade(?), even one Kabar, but not sure if that one is authentic. Just wondered if anyone else has any. Still strongtag:iknifecollector.com,2014-08-13:3181080:Topic:11790832014-08-13T23:37:30.557ZRick Cothrenhttps://iknifecollector.com/profile/RickCothren
