Welcome Home

I just acquired a Western L66 in great shape, and was wondering if any of you might be able to help with dating it.  I can’t seem to make NING upload a picture, but I will do so as soon as it can be beaten into submission. (I’m in touch with Jan, and he is a great help!)

It is a stacked-leather handle, with the characteristic H-shaped leather washers.  It has a brass guard, and a bird’s-head aluminum pommel pinned on.

The tang stamps:

On one side:  L66

On the other side, in three straight lines:

WESTERN

BOULDER, COLO.

PAT’D.MADE IN U.S.A.
