    Thanks for your greeting.
IMG_8000.JPGI have 8 Shur-Snap Colonial Prov USA knives, 1 Presto USA knife, and 1 Edgemaster USA knife. They are all switchblade with belt loops. These are old new stock from mid 1960's. They have not been used but show wear and would need some fixing up to sell. Blades are 3" long, handle (closed) is 4" long.

Would you be interested in them? I am attaching a some pictures.

Thanks for the warm welcome Steve; and also for the suggestions. I have a nice rainy day that I might just use to browse through the site, and become a little familiar with it, and it’s content. Unfortunately, it’s also a good day to watch some college football!

Thanks, Steve. Nice Blackjack, by the way. I have a few of the Seki Mamba and Yukon Skinner folders. Also have a Boker Mamba that looks almost identical to the Blackjacks in design.

That was a nice WELCOME note.  I see you LOVE your CUTE dog.  Me too.  But my female tri-color 58 lb. Springer Spaniel would be very jealous.

Checking out the groups now.  Interesting selection.  I here mainly for the sharpening tips

Like: the best  degrees to sharpen at for certain steels heat hardened by specific makers - and to see all the private knife makers I see in the huge yearly Knife annuals.

I guess the CHAT evenings are the big thing.

    Hi John,

Thank you for the warm welcome.I am looking around getting used to the navigation. I am more used to Forums so my first action after saying hello will be to check out the rules.

I  too, am a dog guy and have a Australian blue cattle dog and a  Liver colored Labrador. Also I have a feathered side kick,  a smarty pants yellow cockatiel who is a near constant companion while I am indoors.

Being an older fellow ,I naturally like  folding traditional knives, but find the ones I  really desire are expensive and hard to obtain.

For instance I have just won a few Case and Schrade  jigged bone scale folders on Ebay and have paid $30 Au average for some poor to average condition blades.

Advertising in the local trader mags has not been successful. I think it is due to a small population density in my part of the country.

Alternate sources like thrift shops do not carry them due to legal liabilities  and second hand shops seem to think any good example is coated with gold rather the rust corrosion which they normally are.

Again thanks for the  warm welcome.

Hi thank you for accepting. Is it allowed to post a wanted post? Looking for a Case 2002 silver script pearl elephant toe in original velvet box

  • Ted Dietz

Many thanks.  I am glad to be here.  However, in terms of knowledge, I will probably take way more than I can give.  But, I will do my best.  I am searching for pricing on a an antique/vintage pocket push button pen knife that my grandfather gave to me many years ago.  I have pictures but need to know what to do to determine a true value.  How do I proceed?

    Thanks in advance

  • Michael Spencer

Thank you Sir.  Glad to be here.  I have several knives that I am looking to sell in the future and I plan to start reaching out to others to see if there is an interest.  I look forward to getting to know others here!

    Sincerely,

    Michael S.

Thanks Steve for allowing me to be a part of this group.  I  made a good haul today.  Brought home a GEC 72 Locback Indian Choffee Jig bone #722111 and a couple other good scores.  If I only knew how to navigate this site and post pictures to share!
