Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

But I did want to share...
Here are most of the 'nives that I have kicking around. Only a couple are what people might consider 'quality' knives. The RH44 was my great uncle's. And I have a pair of Buck 112s from the late 80's. The normal brass one and a nickle-silver one.

Obviously the few bayonets are not included here.

Ha!  That's the knife collection of a rational person!  More rational than me, at least -- with my hoard of Kershaws...  Lars was right to call me out on that!  :)  I really like those Leathermans ("Leathermen"?), by the way, & I really dig that you have users & sentimental pieces.  Glad you posted this family photo!

And shout out to Brian -- is that 4 Krudos?  I've almost pulled the trigger on that Dao many times...  And how's that CRKT Clevergirl folder?

And of course a shout out to Andy, too.  I love seeing peoples' collections!

Good afternoon Sue OldsWidow,

Sorry I was not on the computer last night or this morning.  I had another project I was finishing up.

I have 3 folding Case knives (2 were in the photo - I was using the other one so it did not get included)

They are:

6275 SP (4 dot - Moose)

61048 SS (not in photo - 4 dot - slimline trapper)

63033 SS (5 dot - Stockman)

The little black one under that is a 2-blade Ka-Bar.  I dont see a number on it...

Is that small equal end pen below the 2 black case also one....the rough black handle one??
looks like an early 50's

Hey...when it comes to knives, you gotta do you! Buy what you like, keep what you love! No one can appreciate your collection the way you can. I have a few higher priced pieces, but the most dear to me are the gifts from folks I know and from family. Keep it small, grow it larger, display it in a case, put them in a roll to protect them...do what YOU wanna do. Keep them maintained and learn more about what grabs your fancy! It can be a money pit...lol...but this hobby has some of the nicest folks I have ever met. Ask questions, post pics of new acquisitions! Sometimes, a big part of the fun is having folks to share it with and expand it with. We will enable you! :-)

I have not opened this roll in over a decade - looks to be some Dr. and pens in an old beat up "leather" wrap.

Bigger stuff - I'll post later

I think you have a great mix of traditional, modern folder, and multi-tools.

G'morning Lars,

Thank you for sharing those articles.

Those certainly help put things things in a better perspective.for me.  Thanks again.

Feel free to revisit those bayonets anytime.  I did recently post a update for my little Swiss collection, and a nice 1906 was found and added.  That one is certainly the rarest bayonet in that group.

Good morning folks.

Sorry I didn't do anything on here last night.  I was working on a set of new grips for a "remote hole puncher".

I am realizing that in several of my interests that I see brought together in knives (and knife making) naturally extend into many other areas.  Some of this I can post in certain groups, but some of the other projects?  They dont really fit into any groups that I know about at this point.  Perhaps too many interests for one person?  LOL!

That is a nice looking collection Brian.  You can certainly see a common couple of themes coming through in your collection.  You have a few brands in there that are pretty well regarded.  Cant wait to see more as it progresses.  You just got a nice SpiderCo so you are continuing to add some nice pieces.  :)

That's not pathetic at all!  I think it's a beautiful collection!  It's no worse than mine!

Ha ha ha! I love it! And if you ever start feeling puny about your collection again, just re-post those bayonets of yours...those had me drooling the first time!

After reading your comments to Jan, I found these two blog posts that may interest you. They're old - but still relevant, and it shows that your're not the only one with such a self-perceived collection. Take time to read some of the comments as well - they are equally enlightening.
