Another beauty in from Italy by way of Carlo Cavedon. Carlo built this Jabalí for this month’s SICAC knife show in Paris … but I hinted to him that I wanted it! It features musk ox scales, Damascus bolsters, zirconium back spacer and a Damascus blade forged by Simone Raimondi.

Lars and Kevin .... thanks for your comments.  Carlo is a really great guy and talented maker and engraver.  AND, he has been extremely accommodating reserving a knife for me that he's taken to a knife show.  I know a lot of makers would rather just sell at a show, rather than go through the hassle of shipping one here to the states after the show.  And, to be honest, while most customs don't come cheap .... and their cost has gone up in the past few years .... his prices are fairly reasonable considering the build time, materials, and quality.  I currently have 9 of his knives .... all wonderful pieces.  Two of them are ones he built to my specs ... those are really special to me. One is a unique take on the Sicialian Sfilato.  The other is based on Carlo's more modern version of the Mozzetta.  Have posted pics of these too before, but here's an encore presentation!

My goodness is that beautiful!

I love those musk ox scales.  And of course the damascus is stunning.

Something like this has got to fall far outside what I can afford to spend on aa knife.

But I certain do enjoy the looking!  Thank you for sharing!

You know...one can never have enough "few more views"!  :-D  As always my friend, impressive. And to be honest...I think I am as impressed with the lanyard bead as i am with the scales - wow that's sweet! (always a sucker for cool and unique beads...my brother has two ceramic bead patents)
