In Memoriam iKC's New Features!

The system hosting iKC is continually working to make our community better. For several months, enhancements have been in the works. Overnight they were rolled out.

In Memoriam All About Toenails: A Case XX USN Redbone

The Elephant Toenail pattern's been around for over a hundred years and is favored by both production and custom knife collectors. They come in hundreds of flavors, which is good cause we pattern collectors love variety!

KR15-A Archeros - 3rd annual knife with art print and cold cast statue by Kit Rae

hi everyone, I thought I'd do something a little different today, instead of a sword, let's take a look at a Kit Rae knife.

At the risk of alarming folks, I learned today the current administration (the White House) has put out a request for bids (RFP) for contractors to collect/capture/harvest and create a permanent record of comments made on social networking sites. Here is Nessmuk's book "Woodcraft" in a 1.5mb PDF File (Below Photos)

This is the version now on the internet. It was made from the 1964 printing, and it has a ton of errors from the early OCR scanner. Nothing better is available.

A good friend has loaned me an 1894 original book, and I am scanning it now. It will take a while to do all the work, read it word for word (my 500'th reading, anyway) and make sure every word is correct. Knife Pouches and cases

What are some good knife sleeves and cases.
Im talking about some good single blade options and some multiple blade options for storage.
I have a few blades that i want to store in singles pouches and it can be to just keep in my desk like that or possible belt mountable.
Also where can I buy them?

Steel Addiction

Given that this site is "iKnifeCollector", I think it reasonable to assume that most of the members have a "Steel Addiction". Sure, some only have a little "itch"...while for other folks, it is a full-blown case of Chicken Pox. I probably fall into the latter category.
