Gerber LMF (old style)

Hello all,

New here but one of the reasons I joined up was to ask a few questions about some knives I've had laying around in my gun safe. I have an "old " style Gerber LMF that's in "good-very good"  condition. Looking for a fair price to sell it for. Let me think what yal think.

Thanks,

Re-handle of knives with celluloid or plastic

Just thought I would ask for suggestions on handle materials.

We are planning on rescue of a few old knives with Celluloid, and plastics that are

starting to show signs of deterioration....

I want to put something on them....That is not what they came with so it would be

well known by anyone who would…

1990 Buck #314 Buckbone Trapper

Having recently endured a cervical vertebrectomy, (removal of discs and bone, replaced with bone grafts & SS plates leaving my spinal cord exposed until the grafts grow in), I wondered if the surgeon had cut out the part of me that addictively purchases collectible pocket knives? I got my answer today with the arrival of a 1990 Buck #314 Buckbone Trapper. My neck seems to be healing up well, but the urge to practice retail therapy remains. I already have a #312 Buckbone Mini Trapper from…

TOPS C.U.T. 4.0

The TOPS C.U.T. 4.0 is one of my favorite fixed blade knives. It is one of my favorite because of several reasons. The design of this knife allows the holder a very strong grip. While cleaning deer and the like, no matter how much blood you get on the handle it will not slip from your hand.

This knife comes razor sharp. It is light weight and easy to carry. The Kydex…

Middle Eastern Knife

I have another one for everyone.

Here is another knife from the auction box.

It seems to be from the Middle east and the construction is of good quality.

There are makers marks on the blade and the year 1971.

Anyone know where this is from and if it is worth much?…

Very odd knife

Can anyone help me out with identifying this knife.

I saw a picture of one a long time ago but I can't find any information now.

It seems to be made of Plasticine or something similar with real hair for the beard, real teeth, and some type of real horn for the hat.

The blade is not high quality and only has stainless printed on it, no names or other markings.

It is kind of freaky, tell me I'm not cursed by having this thing!

Any information would be…

It never ends!!

Even though I have been having some medical issues lately, my desire, (ie; addiction), to acquire new and different slipjoints continues unabated. Though I was unable to sit at the computer till recently, (had an epidural last week so I am able to sit up a little better now), I still managed to find a couple of knives that were in my opinion "must haves".

A friend in the BCCI, (Buck Collectors Club), suggested I begin looking for Camillus "clones" of the 300 Series knives…

Sometimes luck finds you!

Stopped at the mini mart just down the street today, and when I came out I was approached by what I thought was a panhandler. However, instead of asking for spare change the guy asked if I wanted to buy a knife!? He handed me this Cold Steel Counter Point II and said, "I'll take $5 for it". I wasn't sure exactly how much this was worth being an import, but I figured $5 was a good deal nonetheless. Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth I handed him a fiver, got in my car and…

Cold Steel Irish Blackhorn Walking Stick

Well, I didn't expect to find this, especially around here.

As stated in the title this is a Cold Steel Irish Blackhorn Walking Stick, (not to be confused with their Irish Blackthorn Shillelagh which has longer knobby things on the stick and sells for less). Smokey Mountain Knife Works sells these for $46.99, (when in stock), which is the reason I didn't buy one when I visited the store, the price was just a little high for me that day, (though…

New Display Case

Found this little mirrored display case at a local antique shop, (though as usual it is NOT an antique). It can be set on a flat surface or hung on a wall. I picked this up with the intention of installing a lock and using it as a sales display for knives at a local consignment antique store. They asked me to consider selling there because they know I collect, and they claim that old knives sell well. I intended on filling it with my "extras" and the many old knives I have collected over the…

Found a Winchester today

Found a decent little Winchester Stockman at a local antique store this week, but it's definitely not an antique. It's probably an import, but I couldn't find a matching knife at SMKW or even on Ebay, so it's origins are a mystery at the moment. There is no tang stamp or origin marks anywhere, only the blade etch and shield, (past SMKW offering?). Handle is likely "Stagalon", blades are SS and show no usage. Even though it probaly isn't from Alabama it was nice to find this locally,…
