HAPPY BORNDAY MAX!!!!!!!!

I'm terrible about seeing the birthdays listed. Sorry I'm late!

HI, Max!  And thank you!  I ordered some of the special bulbs thru Amazon, but they haven't shown up.  So yesterday we were in Lowes, found the bulbs, and bought several different strengths.  I already have most of the other items I need -- except for a shutter cable release on my fancy camera (I'll have to use the timer) -- so today I'm going to experiment a bit with Barlow knives.  Wish me luck!

Morning Max--- Hey Thanks for the nice comments on the Trapper MOP---

And yes it is a Arrow shield  that does not have Case Writing in it. After they made

the encycolpida sets were made they had extra MOP left over so Case made a low run of these Trappers ---I bought it from a Huge Collection of Gil Cater who had died and His wife sold the  collection to Texas Knives and Collectiables in Spurger Tx.

I have bought about 6 knives from that collection

Max, I'm with you on the coffee.  If the world went to crap, I would probably die from coffee withdrawals.

It's good to have you as a friend.

Jim

Thanks for the comments, Max. That SS 3.0 kit is turning out nicely. The kits are good quality & the Desert Ironwood certainly doesn't hurt. Take care !!

Before hardening you have to normalize the blade several times just to get the "grain" realigned because after beating it the structure of the steel is in chaos.

I got the plans for one of my forges online. The other one I copied Ellis 12-VT Forge and improved on it.

Thanks Max,

I have 2 propane forges I built, I harden and temper the carbon blades myself.

Thanks Max. I gotta say your site is definitely bitchin'. As a muralist myself I think you are quiet creative. I would encourage others to check out your art work. I've been thinking about a cool modern club patch. What do you think?
