Glad your coming to the Blade. We are trying to get all the iKC folks to meet up over by the Great Eastern booth (in the food court area beside them) at 400 on Friday. Please join us
Hello Herb,I think you've answered your own question here. I don't think any American Knife Manufacturer uses epoxy in the construction of a slip joint knife. The knife is held together by the pins. I have heard of some custom makers using epoxy on the handle slabs of fixed blade knives. I would venture to say Queen Cutlery never put epoxy in the butt of a Mountain Man! I would suggest that anyone should be very careful trying to put anything in a Mountain Mans butt. The results could be quite different then the desired effect.
Hey Herb, thanks for joining us all over at the Great Eastern Cutlery group. It's great to have a new members who shares a love of this great company. Hopefully you can post a pic or two and share a little about your collection and yourself on here.
