Hi Lisa- I,ve been looking at your site. I have always liked Jimmie,s knives, and it sounds like I would like your Dad,s knives also. Let us know when he has a web site. I would like it if we were friends, and stayed in touch. What do you think? Have a great day, and don,t study too hard. "Lonewolf"
Hi Lisa,
I am also a huge fan of Jimmy Lile. I never had a chance to meet him though. I met Jack Lucarelli at the Knife Expo '09 in Pasadena, CA and he had nothing but great things to say about Jimmy. He gave me a copy of his book "James B. Lile - The Arkansas Knifesmith" and it is possibly one of the best knife books I've ever read. If you haven't read it yet, I strongly suggest you get a copy. It's a fantastic book.
I'd love to hear more about your father and his work. If you ever have time from your busy schedule, please toss me a few stories.

Nope. Ive seen the originals and own one. My father worked for Jimmy for years and stayed on for several years after he passed. I 've seen and held original patterns and knives by Lile. My dad refurbishes lile knives for present owners, and was involved in the making of the first blood knives. I'm sure Jaquie attends any road shows involving Lile knives still to this day. I'm here for my love of this art. I grew up around it, and will always be a part of my life. I'm an artist and plan on creating a Web page for my fathers own linee of knives sometime in the future. If you need any Lile knives refurbished let me know, My father is the best and knows every thing there is to know about the Lile line. Also, if you don't have Britt Gudowski as a friend on here, look him up, My dad has been corrisponing with him since he was a young boy and has helped him in creating First blood remakes. He does a wonderful job.
Lisa,
Reading your post - I would have to be the same way. You should be very proud of your dad. Welcome to iKC, hope you enjoy the place as much as I do?
Keep posting - would love to hear more about you and your dad.
Take care, - Todd Davison
