Hello Delbert- thought I'd stop by to say "Hi." Hope you are doing well! Going to any knife shows soon? I'm probably headed over to Dalton, Ga in a month or so to catch what used to be the NKCA show...not quite sure what it is now, but it's still gonna happen.

:) You like that one, do you? Me too. I think I bought it off Art Green at a Parker Show years ago.

No Delebert. Out of the couple hundred knives I have the only ones I will actually cut something with is 1) a Great Eastern stag toenail and my Mantis Jyro.

I did order me a full time everyday carry last week. It is a Strider PT- CC

It should come in on Monday. It is about 4 inches closed. My is a plain blade without the tiger stripes. My plan is to carry it everyday, except when I'm flying.

Delbert- I started a discussion on this topic (see my last post here on your wall) in the Elephant Toenail Collectors Group here at iKC. Let's pic up the discussion on this there, plus I want to see what the others answer is.

Delbert- I can only speculate about what affect "new" jumbos will have on old ones. My opinion is it will help, long tern. Short term- no affect at all.

Long term, folks buying the affordable new ones could eventually decide to get an old one. These folks might have never really thought 'bout buying a jumbo before...and as you know once you get hooked- katy bar the door.

Short term- it is two different buyers. The new ones will have to be somewhat affordable, probably under $500. And as you know an old one can't be gotten for that, so I don't see any competition between the two. Heck, the old junker jumbos sell for between $500 and $1000. The really good ones are $3500 to $6000 today.

I'd love to see a "new" old knife. Ka-Bar is now making a replica of its Union Razor and I don't believe that has hurt the old authentic ones...don't know that it has helped the old ones either, for that matter. Case makes the "Case Family" knives and don't see any affect on the old ones as a result either.

Rare knives will stand on their own, as you know.

Hi Delbert,
I don't know if you remember me, but I bought a super nice H. Boker & Co.'s Improved Cutlery jumbo jack from you off ebay a year or two ago. It's a great knife that I still have. Thanks again for an honest, old knife.

Hey Delbert
Why don't you get a couple of "old timers" together and start a Antique Knife Collectors Group?

I'll help, but need one of you guys to take the lead role in managing it. Maybe you and Steve Wells?? Y'all talk and let me know.

Delbert- let me start with this question- do you have a picture of your self? Even if it is a family picture or anything I can work with. I'd like to get you pic up in place of the red man avatar...
Let's start here first. Let me know.

Hey there Delbert. Glad to have you join us here. How about sharing some of those mean Cattaraugus knives you have stashed away... :) Do you have any pictures of them in your computer? If so, I'll walk you through getting them loaded here...if you need me.
